Critical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Critical Care Nurse to provide direct and indirect care to critically ill patients using the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Delivery: Provide direct and indirect care to critically ill patients using the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
- Care Planning: Develop and update nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Patient Monitoring: Communicate significant changes in patients' conditions to Physicians, Nursing Supervisors/Managers, and other team members as necessary.
- Discharge Planning: Participate in the development of effective discharge plans ensuring seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Required License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Alabama.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Advanced knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
