**Job Title:** Faculty Member - Nursing Education

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing educator to join our faculty team at Southeast Arkansas College. As a nursing professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our nursing programs, developing and implementing curriculum, and contributing to the overall mission and goals of the college.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Teaching and Mentoring:** Develop and deliver high-quality instruction to nursing students, including lectures, labs, and clinical experiences.
  • **Curriculum Development:** Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards and college goals.
  • **Assessment and Evaluation:** Develop and implement assessment and evaluation methods to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • **Service and Engagement:** Participate in college committees, contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives, and engage in professional development opportunities.
  • **Student Support:** Provide academic advising, guidance, and support to students, including those who are struggling or at risk of not completing a course.
Qualifications
  • **Education:** Master's degree in nursing or related field, with a focus on nursing education.
  • **Experience:** Two years of related work experience as an LPN or RN in medical/surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and/or critical care nursing.
  • **Certifications:** Current unencumbered, Arkansas RN license, and certifications in nursing education (e.g., CNE).
  • **Skills:** Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work effectively with diverse student, faculty, and staff populations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • **Education:** Doctoral degree in nursing or related field, with a focus on nursing education.
  • **Experience:** Teaching experience at the college level, experience teaching with simulation, and experience using a learning management system.
  • **Certifications:** Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential and clinical specialty in Peds, OB, and Med/Surg.
