MRI Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Shepherd Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to patients with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spine, and chronic pain conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule patients and prioritize exams based on clinical need, reviewing and verifying orders before beginning exams.
- Prepare patients and rooms for exams, explaining procedures and transferring patients using proper lifting and transfer techniques.
- Perform clinical evaluations of patients and conduct exams as stated in physician orders, observing patient and equipment during procedures and reporting any unusual occurrences.
- Deliver images to PACS and radiologists, ensuring receipt of exam dictation and maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Rotate through other imaging departments to aid staff in achieving patient care standards, as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Minimum of one year experience in performing MRI procedures.
- Two years' experience preferred.
- Some potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
