Scanning Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scanning Clerk to join our team at Unavailable. As a Scanning Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe store environment, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and providing excellent customer service.

• Maintain weekly Maintenance Report by performing audits, including new items, price changes, discontinued products, and deleted products.
• Perform weekly Ad Checks to ensure all items in the weekly flyer scan as advertised, are properly displayed, and have correct signage.
• Ensure daily that all price scanners and printers in the store are functioning correctly.
• Separate, sort, and distribute weekly shelf tags to appropriate departments.
• Perform a weekly Aisle Scan to ensure all merchandise is properly tagged and scanning correctly.
• Ensure store signage standards are maintained.
• Check date codes and remove and scan out any out-of-code product on the shelf.
• Notify the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager of potential shrink problems, out-of-stock situations, potential security problems, and customer requests/complaints.
• Notify Merchandising Systems Department personnel of any pricing or item issues found.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate computers and hand-held scanning machines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify and correct problems.
• Sense of urgency.

The Scanning Clerk will work in a retail store environment, with frequent standing, walking, and carrying of up to 40 pounds. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
