Unit Overview
Our Cardiac Stepdown Units offer a unique and challenging environment, with three units that encompass Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU), Medical Progressive Care (MPCU), and Telemetry2 (Tele2). These departments see patients who require closer monitoring and are too sick for a General Med Tele Floor, but not quite sick enough for an ICU.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure, chest pain, and high oxygen needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address patient needs, and make sound clinical decisions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed.
- Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
