Aclima is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our team. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-friendly, performant web applications and interfaces for visualizing air quality data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop user-friendly, performant web applications and interfaces for visualizing air quality data.
  • Collaborate with designers to create engaging and intuitive UI/UX.
  • Maintain and improve test coverage.
  • Rapidly build and iterate on product prototypes to test new ideas and gather feedback.
  • Deploy and maintain web applications using modern development frameworks and tools.
  • Architecting RESTful and GraphQL APIs following best practices.
  • Ensure seamless integration with databases and other back-end systems.
  • Manage the deployment pipeline, ensuring reliable and scalable application delivery in our cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement best practices for security, performance, and code quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and product managers, to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead engineering discussions and write documentation, especially articulating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Remote, but Bay Area candidates are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
  • Experience with our tech stack which includes: React, Typescript, GraphQL, Mapbox, Python, Postgres/PostGIS, Kubernetes, Docker and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to Aclima's mission as a Public Benefit Corporation.
