We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Maternal Specialist to join our team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to high-risk mothers-to-be.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an efficient flow of patients, including triage, screening, preparation for exams, and providing general nursing care.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Experience in a High Risk MFM (Maternal Fetal Monitoring) Clinic is preferred.
- Previous experience in Labor and Delivery along with experience in NICU is required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification is required within 24 months of hire/transfer.
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications are required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400-bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL. We offer a range of services, including a heart & vascular center, behavioral health center, and a women's center. Our women's center includes a 36-bed neonatal intensive care unit. We have a reflux center and a bariatric center. We are dedicated to quality and committed to our community.
