About the RoleAs a Pediatric Clinical Faculty, you will be responsible for mentoring students in a clinical setting, guiding them in demonstrating nursing skills and procedures. You will focus on family-centered care of children, exploring normal child care and health alterations from infancy through adolescence. Participating as a member of the multidisciplinary health team, you will contribute to health promotion, illness prevention, health restoration, and maintenance, as well as rehabilitative care for children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Chamberlain's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
- Assume responsibility for autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision, and evaluate nursing students' performance based on course objectives.
- Maintain availability for staff at clinical agencies, fostering collaboration and support.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on performance, promoting growth and development.
- Ensure timely correction and return of student work, including homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, and clinical paperwork.
- Contribute to program development, implementation, and evaluation, driving excellence in education.
- Teach didactic course content under the supervision of the course coordinator, sharing your expertise.
- Keep the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues, ensuring effective communication.
- Collaborate with college administration, staff, and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction.
- Participate in the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental policies, driving a culture of excellence.
- Serve as a professional role model, embodying customer service, collaboration, communication, and professionalism.
- Master's Degree in Nursing Required
- 2+ years experience within the last five years in nursing as a registered nurse required
- MO nursing license required
- Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and prudent judgment
- Professional Nurse licensure required in the state of practice
- Lives within the St. Louis, MO area
- This opportunity is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays
- Locations: St. Louis Children's Hospital, Cardinal Glennon
- 6a-2p availability needed
We offer a competitive compensation package, with an estimated salary range of $56,000 to $360,000 per year, depending on the candidate's education and experience. This estimate is based on the expected compensation rate of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, considering the location and required qualifications.
