Job Title: Infectious Disease Physician

Washington Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Infectious Disease Physician to lead our Antibiotic Stewardship program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections and promote evidence-based and cost-effective antibiotic use.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for our infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve antimicrobial barriers to efficient hospitalization and discharge
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship strategies and initiatives to improve healthcare outcomes and promote patient safety
  • Monitor and analyze data related to healthcare-associated infections and antibiotic use to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted interventions
  • Develop policies and protocols for infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship in accordance with national guidelines and best practices
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctorate or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required along with appropriate board certification and qualifications
  • Three years of experience in an acute care setting
