Fathom Mfg is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our team. As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining plastic injection molds.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret prints for tooling modifications, accuracy, and improvements
- Perform preventive maintenance and recommend design changes to new and existing tools
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain tooling inventory
- Assist other tool makers as needed and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase shop efficiencies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree (A.A.) or certificate in tool & die – preferred
- 3 Years Mold Making Experience
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- SolidWorks experience
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, predictive maintenance, 5S, and related manufacturing best practices
- Knowledge of hot runner systems and their respective controllers
