Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Food and Nutrition Services Director and the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Food Service Worker II plays a vital role in the preparation and serving of food for patients, residents, and staff at Steward Health Care System facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages in accordance with established menus and dietary requirements.
  • Operate food service equipment, including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and refrigerators, to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and storage.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor and other team members to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor or Director.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
