About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team at IMEG Corp. in Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with design portions of projects related to mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.
  • Research and recommend commercially available equipment for projects.
  • Develop and maintain good client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent records.
  • Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, and technology teams.
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from clients, while monitoring project design progress.
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting final checks.
  • Prepare and issue addendum information as needed.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement.
Requirements
  • Completed junior year towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in design consulting and building systems design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CAD software, and BIM.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
