Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Springfield Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, under the supervision of a cardiologist or radiologist.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including cardiac catheterization labs and imaging equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical histories and procedure reports.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, radiologists, and nurses, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical technologies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current certification in Cardiac Cath Lab Technology (RCIS) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as medical imaging principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cerner experience.
  • Ability to work a 3x12 day shift schedule, with occasional weekends and on-call requirements.
