Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Davis Veterinary Service. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our clients and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for clients and patients.
  • Greet and welcome clients and patients, answering questions and triaging client concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
  • Answer calls and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for clients and patients.
  • Check in and check out clients, processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide friendly emotional support to clients and patients during times of need, demonstrating a high level of compassion and discretion.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless communication and a high level of patient care.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a veterinary or medical reception role.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client and patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, patients, and veterinary staff.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with experience in medical software and practice management systems.
  • Self-starter with a desire to continue learning and growing in the role.
