The Resource Coordinator is tasked with the efficient allocation of manufacturing resources, ensuring effective process planning and maintenance. This role encompasses the management of Bill of Materials (BOM) consumption, the creation of Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routings, and the generation of manufacturing item orders within the Bell business systems.
In instances where a Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) model is available, the role does not include the creation or upkeep of manufacturing instructions in 2D format. A solid understanding of shop production and processing operations is essential.
The Resource Coordinator will operate in alignment with management strategies and departmental processes, utilizing Bell Business Systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret various engineering drawings, models, BOMs, technical specifications, quality documents, and departmental procedures as necessary.
- Ensure accurate management and consumption of BOMs for manufacturing operations.
- Create and maintain appropriate work sequence documentation and CAP routings.
- Generate manufacturing item orders/requests, including but not limited to NC Programs, tools/fixtures, and gauges.
- Provide planning support to manufacturing operations through production order maintenance and tool maintenance requests.
- Develop and maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions (both text-based and 2D), material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.
- Support producibility assessments as needed.
- Maintain records and schedules of assigned work, adhering to established cost control standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Offer technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as directed by management.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
- Utilize extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge to train, direct, and validate Production Engineering work.
- Participate in training and complete competency-based testing as required to stay current with technological advancements.
A minimum of two (2) years of college education or two (2) years of experience in the aircraft industry, or completion of a related Bell apprentice program is required. Demonstrated capability in performing essential functions related to GD&T/Aerospace tolerances is essential.
