Student Ambassador

Tacoma Community College is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Ambassador. This is a part-time hourly position that requires a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting student participation and involvement in extracurricular opportunities, advertising and creating marketing materials for events, and identifying and connecting students to resources and supplies that promote student success.

• Encourage student participation and involvement in extracurricular opportunities
• Advertise and create marketing materials for events
• Identify and connect students to resources and supplies that promote student success
• Represent Tacoma Community College as a student leader
• Participate in staff meetings, projects, and partnerships
• Recruit and spark prospective students into leadership, internships, research, and volunteering opportunities
• Maintain an inclusive, vibrant, and clean environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Currently enrolled TCC Student
• Minimum GPA 2.0
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to produce college-level writing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas, and Zoom

• Commitment to multiple quarters is preferred

• Some positions require a minimum amount of TCC credits to have already been earned
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check prior to employment
• Commitment of 10-17 hours per week
• Regular and predictable attendance
