Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at US Environmental. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform daily PMs on our equipment to ensure proper performance, conduct system inspections, diagnosis, and repairs on engines, transmission, air, and hydraulic systems, tires, drive-train, steering, and suspension, electrical and A/C.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all repairs and maintenance on repair orders.
  • Collaboration: Assist higher-level techs on standard technical and diagnostic repairs.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Two to five years of practical experience with diesel trucks.
  • Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical/vocational or specialized training is preferred but not required.
  • Skill Set: Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
