Job Title: 3D Modeling and Simulation Engineer

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled 3D Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Nuclear Enterprise Directorate. This position will focus on providing technical expertise in modeling and simulation to support the Nuclear Surety Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Modeling & Simulation Center team in day-to-day operations, long-term planning, and project management.
  • Collect and analyze data from software to inform modeling and simulation efforts.
  • Conduct 3D modeling and simulation planning, administration, operation, and analytical support to the nuclear weapons surety program.
  • Utilize statistical modeling software to incorporate 3D Autodesk rendered terrain models with pH/pK data tables.
  • Determine future physical security system effectiveness at DoD locations using statistical and physics-based models.
  • Modify data libraries used by software engines.
  • Write behavior scripts and add security features to 3D simulations.
  • Produce reports of model and simulation studies.
  • Create, modify, and update 3D terrain models.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and nine years of related experience, or Master's degree and six years of related experience.
  • Experience with Dante, AVERT, or other force-on-force simulation software.
  • Experience managing small teams or projects.
  • Experience with technical writing and data analysis.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills for communicating technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
  • Clearance: Top Secret.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience creating realistic, accurate 3D models and textures from photographic sources.
  • Experience with 3DS Max or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, or similar photo editing software.
  • Experience with Unity 3D, Talansoft Valkyrie, or similar 3D real-time game engines.
  • Experience with XML, Javascript, C#, or other scripting/programming languages.
