About the Opportunity

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Cashier to join our team. As a Store Cashier, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while operating a cash register.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
  • Direct customers to the proper area and provide general information as requested.
  • Ring up all sales transactions into the cash register and complete sales.
  • Ensure that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase.
  • Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and change Round Up program.
  • Keep the register area clean and orderly at all times.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly using an established etiquette procedure.
  • Assist sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers are required.
