Construction Manager Job Description

Overview: STAG Partners is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee our construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.

Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams of workers, coordinating schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
  • Create accurate cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to determine budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for subcontractors and material vendors.
  • Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
  • Maintain a daily log of job site operations and report to management as necessary.
  • Make adjustments to operations to meet construction deadlines efficiently.
  • Implement cost-effective and efficient management techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of construction superintendent experience.
  • Excellent communication, writing, speaking, and active listening skills.
  • Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
  • Good planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation, and contingencies.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective leadership skills, including motivation, goal-setting, and conflict management.
  • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
