ResponsibilitiesThe Process / Chemical Engineer will oversee process systems, including process-mechanical, Bulk Gas delivery, and PSSS (VHP/Gas/Chemical), as well as Industrial Waste management and UPW (make-up, primary, and polish loop) systems across various ongoing projects. This role encompasses all project phases, from programming and schematic design to construction documentation, administration, and project completion.
Key Project Management Duties Include:
- Client engagement
- Development and monitoring of project delivery timelines
- Fee structuring for engineering services
- Budget oversight throughout the design process
- Facilitating the design of engineering plans from initial stages to construction;
- Conducting analysis and design for industrial facilities/projects;
- Technical documentation for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for non-technical audiences to aid in decision-making;
- Reviewing and producing plans and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations;
- Communicating and coordinating with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and regulatory agency personnel;
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be necessary;
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution;
- 5-10 years of experience with process, waste, and ultrapure water (UPW) systems in the semiconductor, petrochemical, or bio/pharmaceutical sectors;
- Proven experience as the primary engineering liaison with multiple clients in a project management or engineering leadership capacity;
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. or the ability to obtain licensure within one year of employment;
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, pipe stress analysis software, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction.
