Key Responsibilities

The Utility District Assistant Director will be responsible for managing personnel and activities related to water and wastewater treatment, distribution, collection, stormwater management, and customer service. This includes relieving the department director of day-to-day technical and supervisory detail work, including project management, contracts, construction, design, inspections, and capital improvement projects.

The successful candidate will provide technical aid to subordinates and conduct investigations and analyses of procedures related to the effective operation of the divisions. They will also ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to public utilities. A valid Florida driver's license is mandatory, and a State of Florida Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable.
