About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Structural Stress Engineer to join our team at HRPUNDITS INC in Red Oak, TX. As a Structural Stress Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing aircraft structures that meet or exceed all technical requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform sizing and support analysis activities for design changes, improvements, and new aircraft development programs.
  • Support the design process from initial concept through final production, ensuring the aircraft meets or exceeds all technical requirements.
  • Support different teams to ensure a quality product with supporting documentation is produced.
  • Write structural substantiation reports, meeting technical compliance to program and certifying authority requirements and guidelines.
  • Create new and/or update existing certification DFEMs.
Requirements
  • A B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis.
  • Strong proficiency and experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis methods and tools.
  • Proficiency in FEM-based analysis tools, developing/running DFEMs and GFEMs (loads models).
  • Knowledge of interactions between loads and structures.
  • Knowledge and experience of structural sizing methodologies.
  • Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to interface constructively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Preference for CATIA V5, Enovia applications.
About You

You must have the ability to work on complex technical problems and provide solutions in an independent manner. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
