BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a skilled Hospice Physician to join our team as a PRN Medical Director. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients and leading our clinical efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical direction and oversight to our hospice team, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of our patients to ensure that their medical needs are being met.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that our hospice program is operating in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide education and training to our staff on various topics related to hospice care, including pain and symptom management, and end-of-life care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our hospice program is providing the highest level of care to our patients.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of employment.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g. palliative medicine, hospice and palliative medicine).
- At least 2 years of experience in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
