Welder I

Nidec is a leading manufacturer of commercial motors, industrial motors, appliance motors, and controls. We are seeking a skilled Welder I to join our team in assembling and welding shells, rings, and feet for generators.

• Assemble and weld shells, rings, and feet for generators
• Correct settings, speeds, and feeds on welders, including proper setup of product to be welded
• Inspect quality of material being welded to prevent rework
• Protect other employees from flash of arc which could cause damage to eyes
• Wear welding hood, gloves, and other protection as dictated
• Exercise good housekeeping in work area
• Observe good safety practices in performance of job
• Perform daily/weekly TPM tasks and complete checksheets
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader

• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Must be able to read complicated drawings, decimal dimensions on blueprints, utilize precise measuring devices, and use to perform own setups
