About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Texas Oncology. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and MRI procedures as ordered, achieving a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Offer expertise to physicians regarding the appropriateness of additional or modified studies.
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms, assist with dressings as necessary, and complete all paperwork to ensure timely delivery of CT/MRI services.
  • Develop and process radiologic films, log radiologic procedures completed, and process routine paperwork.
  • Provide protection for patients and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Ensure the safety and physical comfort of patients while in technologists' care.
  • Conduct daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report any malfunctions or need for adjustments.
  • Arrange preventive maintenance as recommended by vendors and follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Order, log, and return outside films requested from other agencies, complete appropriate documentation, and arrange for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
  • Maintain paperwork for tracking loaned films and maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients and medical staff.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Certification in CT and MRI preferred.

Physical demands of this job typically require a full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for operation and repair of all department equipment. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifts and pushes patients in wheelchairs/stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds and places in appropriate positions for operation of equipment. Requires ability to reach above shoulder height. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
