About the Role

Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT) scans, mammography, and ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
  • Function as the first line interface with customers, ensuring their imaging needs are met.
  • Participate in quality control (QC) activities to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the absence of management.
  • Maintain department supplies and equipment.
  • Promote teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Process and transmit images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Requirements
  • Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
  • Appropriate national certifications in two modalities (required as of July 1, 2017).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
  • One year of acute clinical radiography experience (preferred).
  • Graduate of a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Proficient computer skills.
