Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Soybean Processing Technician to join our team at the Soybean Processing facility. This role encompasses all facets of soybean processing, from initial storage to the final loading of meal products. The technician will be responsible for the safe operation of oilseed production machinery, ensuring that quality and productivity standards are met to deliver safe products to our customers on time. This role involves a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations set forth by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as company policies.
- Engage in soybean cleaning, separation, preparation, extraction, degumming, meal grinding, storage, and loading processes.
- Conduct quality assurance and feed safety evaluations in accordance with company standards.
- Safely initiate, operate, and shut down soybean processing equipment, including machinery for plant operations and loading of customer products.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on operational equipment.
- Carry out general labor tasks, housekeeping, and sanitation duties as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, records, and samples.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in agriculture is advantageous.
The role requires the ability to navigate throughout the AgriBusiness facilities, including climbing heights, walking on elevated platforms, and carrying tools and equipment. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to varying temperatures, humidity levels, noise, and chemicals, with appropriate safety measures in place. Protective equipment, such as self-contained breathing apparatus, hard hats, safety glasses, and protective footwear, will be required. Occasional travel to remote facilities may be necessary.
