MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a travel nursing assignment in Rapid City, South Dakota.

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health issues.

  • Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in the design and delivery of patient care.
  • Administer and monitor effectiveness and side-effects of psychotropic medications.
  • Assist patients, and families as appropriate, to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and to plan healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Exercise balanced judgement in evaluation situations and making decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a professional manner.
