Position Summary
The Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in executing standard laboratory operations within the designated department. This position involves analyzing data and contributing to research and development initiatives. The incumbent is expected to adhere to laboratory protocols and uphold high standards of quality.
This position requires onsite work and involves an extensive training period. Following training, various shift options are available.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting complex laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
- Meeting productivity and turnaround time expectations.
- Ensuring high-quality standards in testing processes and outcomes.
- Identifying issues, communicating with supervisors, and providing context regarding contributing factors.
- Achieving and maintaining proficiency in required laboratory tasks.
- Complying with personal protective equipment and safety regulations.
- Supporting the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Understanding the laboratory equipment and reagents utilized in the assigned department.
- Operating various laboratory instruments for extended periods.
- Completing training on laboratory software and systems.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace following standard laboratory practices.
- Building and sustaining effective working relationships with clients and colleagues through strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Upholding the company’s mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Managing confidential information responsibly.

Minimum Qualifications
- An associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent training and experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Proven ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Professional knowledge of relevant laboratory regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution.
- Experience in molecular testing.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology and genetic techniques.
