Job Overview

KIHOMAC's Manufacturing team is seeking skilled professionals to join our Composite Department. As a Composite Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating commercial or military aircraft parts, accessories, and trim in accordance with technical specifications and Work Control Documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate composite parts using various materials, such as resins, carbon fiber, bonding, honeycomb fabric, and fiberglass
  • Work with a variety of composite materials in all aspects of the composite process, including crafting, sanding, assembly, clean room etiquette, class A oven, paint booth, and autoclave
  • Paint and finish parts to specifications
  • Use hand and power tools to produce aircraft products
  • Work both independently and as part of a team
  • Follow written instructions precisely
  • Follow directions with little to no guidance from management
  • Learn company-specific procedures for Composites team
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Composite Course Certification preferred

Experience:

  • Relevant composites experience
  • Experience painting in a composite environment
  • Desktop skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Withstand prolonged periods of standing and moving to accomplish workload
  • Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds independently, up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Must follow company safety rules and procedures including, but not limited to, PPE, emergency procedures, and lockout/tagout procedures

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
