Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to oversee the daily operations of the Embryology and Andrology laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in the laboratory, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Embryology and Andrology laboratories, including specimen processing, testing, and reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results, maintaining high standards of quality control and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies, techniques, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve laboratory operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science.
- NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of employment.
- General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms.
- Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens.
