Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, installation, and maintenance of sheet metal products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Fabricate sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and presses.
  • Layout and cut metal sheets according to measurements.
  • Assemble and install sheet metal components using rivets, bolts, screws, and welding equipment.
  • Install ductwork systems for air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and other applications.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Climb ladders and walk on roofs (must be comfortable with heights).
  • Possess welding experience (preferred).
  • Have the ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Have construction experience.
  • Osha 30 or Osha 10 is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and safety. The position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Pass a background check and drug test.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
  • Full-time schedule with 8-hour shifts.
  • Monday to Friday work schedule.
  • Work setting: In the field or indoors.
  • Work location: Piscataway, NJ.
