About the Role

Carter Machinery Company, a leading authorized dealer for Caterpillar in the Mid-Atlantic region, is looking for dedicated Electric Power Generation (EPG) Apprentice Technicians to enhance our dynamic workforce.

Position Overview:
  • Engage in comprehensive training to troubleshoot and repair engines and electrical systems associated with generators and transfer switches.
  • A vocational qualification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines is mandatory.
  • Experience with diesel engines or military machinery is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with CAT electronic tools and software is advantageous.
  • Capability to work autonomously while adhering to deadlines is essential.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and a clean driving record are required.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer software for generating service reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy machinery is required.

Upon successful completion of the 15-month apprenticeship program, you will achieve certification as a Construction Equipment Technician, playing a crucial role in supporting our clientele.
