Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients with physical and cognitive disabilities to maximize their functional independence and quality of life. Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatments, and develop plans of care to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to assess patients' abilities and needs
  • Develop and implement plans of care to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Provide treatments and interventions to improve patients' functional independence and quality of life
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and education to patients and their families
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training on its use
  • Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar to promote patient engagement and participation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an approved school of Occupational Therapy
  • NYS OT License
  • Current BLS Certification
