Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Chart Industries. As a key member of our fabrication and welding team, you will be responsible for performing moderate to complex welding activities, including hand welding and operating various welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform welding activities, adhering to ISO standards and requirements
• Determine type and gauge of steel to be welded, making heat adjustments as needed
• Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels
• Update and maintain documentation associated with job responsibilities
• Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment
• Understand and practice established safety and quality standard procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years TIG welding experience
• Pass 3G weld test and other weld tests, including square butt, fillet, and groove joints
• Experience interpreting blueprints and bill of materials (BOM)
• Basic math skills, including weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, and division
• Attention to detail and ability to manage workload under minimal direction and supervision
