Host/Hostess - Dining Room Team Member

Job Summary:

As a Host/Hostess with Levy, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This includes promptly greeting and seating residents in the dining room, handling customer service situations with professionalism and poise, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
  • Help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience, and possess an interest in people.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
  • Supervise the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Help train new food-service team members and supervise the closing of the assigned dining room, ensuring side work and station setup is properly completed.
  • Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
  • May be asked to operate equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.
