Sports Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sports Medicine Specialist to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to athletes and teams affiliated with our organization.

The successful candidate will provide athletic trainer services, including injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and first aid during athletic events. They will also maintain compliance with state practice standards and promote health and fitness through educational programs.

• Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for our organization
• Provide athletic trainer services for athletic events and competition
• Assess and treat injuries, as well as develop rehabilitation plans
• Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
• Develop and implement in-services and educational programs on health & fitness related topics
• Act as the workers compensation case manager for any professional contracted team
• Collaborate with other JAG PT professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and physician-related services

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program, completion of the BOC certification, and licensure in the state of practice. A current BLS certification and flexibility/adaptability are also required.
