Medical Director

TeamHealth is seeking a skilled Medical Director to lead our team of clinicians in the greater southeast North Carolina area. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing oversight and mentorship to our clinicians, conducting clinical case reviews, and representing TeamHealth in the community.
Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our clinicians
- Conduct regular clinical case reviews to ensure high-quality care
- Represent TeamHealth in the community and establish relationships with local healthcare providers
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, facility leaders, and staff regarding care and services for patients
- Collaborate with leadership to review care coordination initiatives and develop intervention plans
- Work with pharmacists to optimize medication management and improve patient outcomes
- Complete required visits and implement individualized plans of care for patients
- Make recommendations on transitional care, DME, home health services, and outpatient services
- Facilitate quality improvement initiatives and risk management efforts
- Experience as a medical director in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies
