Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement IEPs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that their unique needs are met and their academic growth is supported.
- Instructional Planning and Delivery
Create and adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of students, providing direct instruction and support in one-on-one and group settings.
- Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to integrate students into the general education environment when appropriate, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Assessment and Record-Keeping
Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed to ensure academic growth, and maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
Qualifications- Education and Certification
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid California Teaching Credential with Special Education authorization.
- Experience and Skills
Experience working with students with disabilities and developing IEPs; strong understanding of various learning disabilities and instructional strategies; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
