Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all buildings are secure and clean, adhering to high standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors, as well as cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and common areas.
  • Restock supplies and equipment, and maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Operate custodial equipment, such as buffers and carpet cleaners, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to learn and operate custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 65 pounds, and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, with occasional weekend work required. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
