Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic
  • Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
  • Take vital signs
  • Take blood samples and process them in-house or send them out for analysis
  • Set up and read fecal samples, cytology, and gram stains as directed
  • Take digital x-rays
  • Assist with surgeries and monitor animals after surgery
  • Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions for clients
  • Keep accurate patient records
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment
  • Patience and a love for animals
