Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As an Echo Tech Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting electrocardiogram (EKG), phonocardiogram, echocardiogram, and stress tests using electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting cardiological tests and ensuring patients are comfortable by answering their questions.
  • Recording test results and consulting with physicians to schedule follow-up tests.
  • Assisting physicians during non-invasive cardiological procedures and monitoring patients' heart rates.
  • Maintaining cardiological equipment and supplies, including daily cleanings and adjustments.
  • Recording supply inventory levels and restocking the supply storeroom accordingly.
  • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and reporting issues to superiors.
  • Staying up-to-date with cardiological developments through conferences and research projects.

Requirements

  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Minimum of two years of current Echo Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Echo Tech/Sonography program.
  • Active unencumbered Echo Tech/Sonography California state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Ability to use cardiological equipment, such as EKG machinery.
  • Proven ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Solid knowledge of professional medical standards, policies, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
