Job Summary

The Automation Control Technician will install, maintain, diagnose, repair, remove, and adjust controls of instrumentation and electrical circuits and assist with other mechanical duties. This technician will maintain complex systems embodying electronic and electro-mechanical principles including PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, motors, and servos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow and Comply with Industry Standards: Adhere to good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Read and Interpret Technical Documents: Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts, machines, and other equipment.
  • Measure and Test Equipment: Use specialized instruments to measure parts and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Test and Maintain Equipment: Test the performance of electromechanical assemblies and operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment.
  • Analyze and Record Test Results: Analyze and record test results and prepare written documentation.
  • Assist with Other Mechanical Duties: Assist with other mechanical duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree or higher in Electronic, Mechanical, or Instrumentation, and minimum of 1 year of experience in a mechanical/maintenance and electro-mechanical role, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
  • Certifications and Skills: Certifications in Industrial Electronics or Telecommunications Electronics Preferred, and experience with Microsoft Excel, Logix/Studio5000, CX-Programmer, and Aveva System Platform.
