We are currently seeking a laboratory research assistant/associate to contribute to the Product Science division. This role is situated in a dynamic, start-up atmosphere, collaborating with R&D scientists from diverse disciplines. The primary responsibilities include engaging in hands-on laboratory tasks and conducting data analysis. The selected candidate will support the advancement of innovative genomic technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute experiments utilizing molecular biology and nucleic acid protocols, including RNA or DNA extraction, amplification, labeling, purification, quantification, PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, array-hybridization, and Next Generation Sequencing.
  • Generate, analyze, document, and report findings, ensuring reproducible and high-quality data is produced promptly.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive laboratory records.
  • Communicate daily findings and summarize progress with the supervisor through oral updates or written reports.
  • Identify issues, propose solutions swiftly, and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Effectively manage the demands of tight deadlines while upholding data integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; experience in the biotechnology sector is advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
  • Familiarity with microarrays and Next Generation Sequencing is preferred.
  • Proficient in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory documentation.
  • Passion for engaging in a challenging research and development environment alongside a multidisciplinary team.
