About the Role

This is a key position within Moss, a leading construction and solar energy company, responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the administrative and technical management of solar projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Administration: Assist in supervising all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling.
  • Financial Management: Manage project financial responsibilities, including developing and maintaining project financial reports.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, including setting up project schedules of values and approving miscellaneous job expenditures.
  • Project Development: Develop scopes of work, set up filing systems, and develop purchasing schedules.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Comply with contract requirements, coordinate with corporate scheduling, and prepare and distribute detailed project schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and provide direction to staff, disseminate company policy and information, and promote employee morale.
  • Document Control: Administer document control, RFI process, critical items list, and monthly reports.
  • Pre-Construction and Operations: Conduct trade pre-construction meetings, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, and manage Loss Control (Safety) Program.
  • Client Relations: Interact regularly with owners and comply with client needs.
  • Project Closeout: Manage project closeout and post-construction services, including obtaining Certificate of Occupancy and other government approvals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in the Solar Construction industry with a general contractor.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface directly with owners' representatives, the A/E team, building departments, and other team members.
  • ERP experience and experience working with CMIC is a plus.
  • Intermediate finance skills are required.
