Job Title: Solar Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Solar Electrician to join our team at Industrial Trade Services.

Job Summary:

As a Solar Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical wiring of solar arrays and systems, assembling solar electrical work, and pulling necessary electrical permits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical wiring of solar arrays and systems (AC and DC)
  • Assemble solar electrical work per contracted plans and related codes
  • Pull necessary electrical permits and work with AHJs for final electrical inspections
  • Collect records of all permits and electrical inspections for each project
  • Generate lists of electrical requirements for individual AHJs as needed
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
  • Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner
  • Complete proper paperwork for each job completed
  • Maintain appropriate safety and professional certifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in electrical work is required
  • Current electrical license not required but preferred
  • Experience in solar or construction preferred
  • Strong interest in renewable energy
  • Valid driver's license/clean driving record/dependable transportation to and from work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work within a collaborative team
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal
  • Ability to accurately relay information
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High level of computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of solar team operations both in office and in field
