About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team at Veterinary Specialty Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the treatment of cancer in animals, working closely with our radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation therapy to patients, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of prescribed doses.
- Prepare and position patients for treatment, selecting anatomic parameters and technical settings as required.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all therapy sessions, including patient data and treatment outcomes.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and guidelines for radiation therapy.
- Current certification as a Radiation Therapist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- IEMA license required, with ARRT license in good standing.
- Associate's degree or technical degree in a related field, or 4 years of cumulative job-specific experience.
