Position Overview

InGenesis is actively seeking a Senior Psychiatric Clinician to collaborate with our esteemed client. In this pivotal role, you will deliver on-site services tailored to meet the distinct needs of the Unaccompanied Children (UC) demographic. Your responsibilities will encompass supporting UC mental health, facilitating access to counseling, and coordinating all activities associated with the reunification of UC with a vetted sponsor from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of evidence-based mental health services and case management for all UC in temporary custody.
  • Ensure clinician staffing levels are maintained in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Provide orientation and training for new clinicians regarding program policies, cultural competence, and best practices in child welfare.
  • Lead team development initiatives, including coaching, performance evaluations, and staff assessments.
  • Comply with contractual timelines and requirements related to family reunification processes.
  • Supervise clinicians to guarantee quality assurance in their work, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assessments, care plans, psychoeducation, and counseling sessions for UC.
  • Review and evaluate individual diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate coordination with community providers for additional mental health services.
  • Ensure all clinician staff undergo necessary background checks and maintain current licensure prior to accessing UC documentation.
  • Maintain and update UC records in alignment with contractual guidelines and procedures.
  • Adhere to program reporting standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Board Certified Psychiatrist.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license is mandatory.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • CPR certification.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug tests during employment.
  • Proof of work eligibility status may be required upon request.
  • Completion of all necessary background checks, including child abuse and neglect screenings.
  • Maintain the computer skills necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
