At SSM Health, we're seeking a skilled Sleep Technologist to join our team in our Sleep Lab. As a Sleep Technologist, you will play a critical role in the evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic sleep studies to assess patients' sleep patterns and disorders
  • Prepare patients and equipment for testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results
  • Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve any issues
  • Analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs
  • Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies to healthcare professionals
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
